An evening of live music for strings and electronics with film
Moving Music is an immersive live experience of new music with film, featuring:
- a live-capture video system by John-Marc Gowans alongside works by Steve Reich and Terry Riley arranged by Nic Pendlebury for electric viola;
- Colin Riley’s Masts, Tunnel and Trees, combining Louise McMonagle’s cello and electronics with environmental sounds in three specially commissioned films by Marcus Tate.
Performers: Nic Pendlebury (electric viola) and Louise McMonagle (cello).
The performance runs for approximately one hour, and requires a large screen and projector. For booking enquiries please contact sonic.collaborations@gmail.com.
